4.1

अगाधसंशयाम्भोधिसमुत्तरणतारिणीम् । वन्दे विचित्रार्थपदां चित्रां तां गुरुभारतीम् ॥१॥

agādha-saṃśayāmbhodhi-samuttaraṇa-tāriṇīm | vande vicitrārtha-padāṃ citrāṃ tāṃ guru-bhāratīm ||

anuṣṭubh

— the fathomless ocean of doubt ; — she who delivers across ; — I salute ; — whose words have manifold meanings ; — wondrous ; — the speech of the teacher (Guru)

I salute that wondrous speech of the Guru — its words of manifold meanings — which carries one safely across the fathomless ocean of doubt.
